The speaker for this course is Mr. Stacey L. Barnes, a name partner with the firm of Lewis & Barnes in Houston. His practice focuses in the areas of international business law, general business representation, corporate law, commercial litigation, and intellectual property law. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Federal Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas. Mr. Barnes is a member of the Houston Bar Association (Corporate Counsel and International Law sections), the State Bar of Texas (Business Law and International Law sections) and the American Bar Association (Business Law, International Law and Intellectual Property Law sections). He received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center (J.D., 1998) and his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin (B.A., 1990).
