CLEonline.com, together with the Houston Bar Association (HBA), are pleased to present a special online CLE course in the area of criminal law. This program covers essential issues with which every lawyer handling criminal cases would need to be familiar - everything from trial, to pre-trial, to post-trial issues. This course features a streaming video and a downloadable MP3 audio presentation from a live CLE seminar on this topic that was originally conducted by the Houston Bar Association (HBA) on April 4, 2014. You can access this presentation on demand at any time during the course of the seminar session. The course is approved for 1.5 MCLE hours.

Some of the subjects to be discussed during this course include:

* Ethical issues of criminal representation

* Engagement letter tips

* Trial strategies in Texas criminal cases

The speaker for this course is Mr. Will Denham, an attorney with the firm of Sparkman Foote Minor LLP in Houston. Mr. Denham represents defendants in state and federal courts, on simple and complex matters, at trial, in arbitration, and on appeal. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas and in Maryland, and Washington, D.C., as well as the United States District Courts in the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the College of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law (J.D., 2001) and his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama. A more extensive biography for Mr. Denham may be found at his firm's website.
