State CLE Credit & TREC Information

Under the Texas MCLE Rules, you can satisfy ALL of your annual CLE credits through our online CLE courses. These are regular participatory CLE credit hours just like you would earn from traditional live CLE courses, and there is no limit on the number of credit hours that you can earn each year. Each of our courses is assigned a number by the State Bar of Texas which is displayed within the course itself.

Under Texas MCLE Rules, when you complete one of our online CLE courses, you will need to report your CLE credits directly to your MCLE record at the State Bar of Texas by the last day of your birth month in order to avoid a non-compliance penalty fee. Once you have completed a course, a direct link to the MCLE page on the SBOT website will be displayed in order for you to record your final CLE credits on your MCLE record. You can also go directly to this page on the MCLE site by clicking the following link:

You will need to login with your Texas Bar number and PIN number. Simply click the link to 'Add Course or Self-Study Credit'. Please use the assigned course number (which is posted in the Course Room) to add your final CLE credits to your MCLE record. Texas Real Estate Commission CE Credits:

If you are licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), you can obtain mandatory continuing education (CE) credits required by TREC for our courses, so long as at least fifty (50) percent of the course content is devoted to real estate related topics. To obtain CE credit for one of our real estate courses, you would simply need to complete the following steps:

  1. Click the following link to download and print the 'Individual Continuing Education (CE) Elective Credit Request for State Bar Course' form from the TREC website. Complete and sign this form as per instructions.
  2. Once you have completed your course, simply click the 'Complete Course' tab and the link labeled 'Certificate of Attendance'. This will allow you to download a Uniform Certificate of Attendance form for your course, which you will need to print and sign.
  3. Send both completed forms to TREC at the address provided on their form.
